Jess is incredible!
She has helped me work through so much in the last year providing a safe and comfortable space to go to and always being so friendly and welcoming.
I did EMDR with Jess to help work through a distressing memory – which affected me a lot as I am neurodivergent with an overreactive mind and struggle with processing certain things – and this worked extremely well! I’ve never done it before until now and at first I was confused on how it would help with my day to day anxiety symptoms but by the end I don’t get triggered by the memories anymore and I don’t experience anxiety around the event now too.
I have also done CBT with Jess for a blood phobia and it was a long journey of facing my fears. I have now conquered so much aswell as having my first ever blood tests (out of many) without passing out or having a panic attack all thanks to Jess’s help. I never thought I’d be able to overcome this fear as affected my life so much and now I feel so much stronger and more in control.
She never made me feel rushed as she was so patient and always made me feel safe during the process. I would 100% recommend Jess to anyone, aswell as EMDR and CBT as it has genuinely helped me so much. Forever grateful to Jess for helping me overcome so much! Thankyou!!!
“Jessica has a warm, friendly nature ….
and genuinely cared about my problems and was incredibly empathetic. She always had realistic, practical suggestions and had excellent resources that she always sent to me promptly.
Jessica has given me confidence to try new techniques and I am a far more positive person than I used to be. She was also very good at motivating me , reminding me of progress I made, she is really nurturing in her approach.
I will always be so grateful and thankful to Jessica because she has made an incredibly beneficial contribution to my life and really in a relatively short time.”
“I enjoyed my sessions with Jess, ….
she was very helpful and pleasant and definitely helped me with my mental health problems. I would absolutely return for help again if I needed it, without a second thought. Thank you”
“I genuinely couldn’t recommend Jess more highly.
I’ve had a few therapists in the past, but her knowledge and training are exceptional — and her personable nature is truly where she outshines many others. From the very beginning she made me feel completely at ease, gently guiding me through the process with kindness, patience, and genuine care. She always offered thoughtful solutions and approaches to whatever I was struggling with, which made it so much easier to open up.
I completed a course of EMDR therapy with Jess. I’ve previously had CBT and counselling with other therapist, but this was my first experience of EMDR. At first, I was admittedly sceptical because I didn’t really understand how it worked — but after just the first few sessions, I was amazed by how much my brain naturally began to process things.
It’s hard to describe, but although emotions can feel very intense at times, it’s incredible how quickly they can also be processed and released. EMDR is very different from talking therapies — much of the work happens internally through images and memories — and with Jess’s calm guidance, I was able to process experiences and begin to feel very differently about them in a relatively short space of time.
What once felt like very intense trauma had completely shifted by around session five or six, and no longer had the same upsetting hold over me. I honestly couldn’t believe how effective and fast the process was for me.
Jess made the entire experience feel safe, calming, and supportive, and I am so grateful for the work we did together. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone considering EMDR or CBT — she has an outstanding ability to help people overcome a wide range of difficulties.
“Upon beginning therapy with jess ….
I had already engaged with more general therapy. I was advised that CBT may aid me further with my health anxiety.
I was worried before coming to my initial session but I was put at ease immediately.
Jess has supported me with personalised sessions encouraged me towards overcoming my anxieties. I am now in recovery and couldn’t recommend Jess and her services enough.”
“I would like to say a huge thank you! ….
You have played a huge part in my recovery. Looking back, when I first started therapy, I was in such an unhappy stage of my life and that was all down to the OCD and anxiety.
Thanks to your service I am so much happier and enjoying life as you have helped me to tackled my problems. I’m so grateful.
For anyone who is struggling with OCD and anxiety -you will get through, but don’t put off getting the help you need. Tackling Anxiety and OCD is not easy and you will slip sometimes but that’s okay. CBT therapy worked for me however it’s important to find the right therapy for your struggles and so if one doesn’t work for you don’t give up keep trying and just like me you will win in the end”
“Working with Jess has helped me ….
in many ways, the little tips, tricks and slight mindset changes that she introduced me to have had a real positive impact on my day to day life. I found Jess to be very easy to talk to, she a calm and inviting person who is down to earth and I found that I could relate to her in several ways based on the certain life stages and circumstances that I was experiencing.
I started attending sessions with Jess due to feelings of depression and I wanted to couple the medication that I was prescribed with a talking therapy such as this. Talking therapy had also been recommended to me by my GP doctor. I reached a certain stage of the therapy where Jess and I both agreed that I no longer needed to attend, however I am comforted by the knowledge that I can take the sessions up again if ever I feel the need to. I am hoping to start to reduce the anti-depressant medication later in the year, and I think it is likely that I will be back to see Jess when I do to hopefully counterbalance to reduction in meds.
I must admit that I was a bit wary about seeing a therapist or councillor as it is not something I had ever done before and so felt slightly awkward and out of my comfort zone, however that all soon disappeared as soon as we began to talk.
Give it a go. My reviews is definitely a thumbs up. Would recommend!
